Crazed fan who ambushed Ariana Grande on Wicked red carpet is charged

The crazy fan who jumped over the barricade and ran straight into Ariana Grande during the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good will now be blamed.

Online prankster Johnson Wen, known as the Pajama Man, breached Universal Studios security on Thursday and held on to Ariana, wrapping one arm around her as she tried to walk away.

Cynthia Erivo immediately yelled at Wen and threw herself between Wen and Ariana, while security grabbed the intruder and dragged him away. Ariana was visibly shaken on the carpet.

Hours later, Wen uploaded a chilling selfie with manic eyes, pointing at an Ariana poster and boasting, ‘I finally met Ariana Grande tonight.’

Wen now faces charges of public nuisance, according to the BBC.

Local reports say Wen appeared in court via video link on Friday without any legal representation, intends to plead guilty and could be fined up to $1,540.

After the incident, Wen didn’t stop there, he posted a video on his social media saying, ‘I finally dreamed of meeting Ariana Grande and my dream came true,’ and then laughed maniacally: ‘Hee-hee-hee heeeeee.’

She even reposted footage of the red carpet ambush with the caption: ‘Dear Ariana Grande, Thank you for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.’

Fans were furious, flooding social media with their anger.

One wrote: ‘Do you think this is true? This is so disgusting! The experience of fans who dreamed of this moment and risked lives was ruined. All for pure ego! ‘Seek help.’

Another attacked him: ‘You literally attacked him. This is not flexibility, it is a crime. ‘Shame on you!’

Others touched on Ariana’s past traumas, including the Manchester bombing and her ex Mac Miller’s overdose: ‘This is beyond disrespectful after all the trauma Ari has been through. Not just to him, but to the cast and all the fans. Literally infuriating. ‘You should be ashamed.’
