Millie Bobby Brown confronts photographers on red carpet in London

Millie Bobby Brown proves she’s not afraid to stand up for herself.
While Brown posed on the red carpet at a special screening of the fifth season of “Stranger Things” in London on Nov. 13, photographers could be heard yelling at the 21-year-old actor to smile. He responded, “Smile? Smile?” before setting off.
The “Enola Holmes” star stunned at the event in a strapless corset dress. She paired her look with sheer black tights, black pumps, dainty rings and dangling earrings.

Brown opted for a light makeup look and wore her long brunette tresses in a middle part, pinning the front pieces back while the rest flowed down her back.

She’s not the only star who had to talk back to photographers on the red carpet. Chappell Roan addressed a photographer at the premiere of Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” in October 2024, telling him, “You treated me so disrespectfully at the Grammys” and that he owed her an apology.
In another example, “Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham told a photographer while posing for photos at the Olivier Awards in April 2024, “Don’t be ridiculous. Otherwise I’ll stray. Don’t say, ‘Show me the legs.'”

This isn’t the first time Brown has defended herself against the media. In March, she shared an Instagram video addressing the negative comments she received about her appearance.

“‘Oh my God, what did she do to her face? Why did she go blonde? She looks 60!'” she said. British Vogue It reminded me of some of the comments he received earlier this month. “I respect journalism. I love reading articles about my favorite people and hearing about what they’re up to. Even though it’s invasive, even though it sounds like s— to me, I understand paparazzi exist; I know it’s your job.”

She continued, “But don’t be quick to criticize me in your title. This is so wrong and bullying, especially for young girls who are new to this industry and are already questioning everything about it.”
Criticisms of her appearance revolved around the stylistic choices she made during the press tour for the movie “The Electric State”. The star dyed her hair blonde and borrowed clothes from Paris Hilton. Pamela Anderson In homage to the 1990s themes in the film.
In its original Instagram videoBrown called out the negative headlines and questioned why people “act like I’m supposed to be frozen in time” and always look like they did in season one of “Stranger Things.”
