UK weather: Storm Claudia to clear with snow on the way this week

The cold Atlantic weather system arriving on Tuesday could bring some snow inland over Scotland and northern England. This may extend to the Midlands and south-east England for a short time on Wednesday morning.
It’s too early to tell whether and where the snow will settle.
It is unlikely to be as bad as the snow and ice that closed hundreds of schools and dumped 12cm of snow in Nottingham this time last year.
