Serial thief, with over 25 cases, nabbed in Miyapur

A criminal, who has been committing property crimes for a long time on multiple police station borders in Cyberabad, was arrested by Miyapur police on Saturday (November 15).
The accused, identified as 35-year-old Upthala Anand, a tractor driver and resident of New Hafeezpet, was taken into custody after investigators matched his physical characteristics with those caught in a recent theft case near a bar and restaurant on Allwyn X roads.
The accused was found to be involved in 25 cases in Miyapur, Chandanagar, RC Puram, Ameenpur, Bachupally, Rajendranagar, Patancheru and Shadnagar.
The arrest followed a complaint filed by a private employee from Madeenaguda regarding a theft in the early hours of November 12.
