The 91st annual meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), Bengaluru, ended on a high note on Sunday at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) campus.

IISER Tirupati held the three-day event by hosting the scientific fraternity coming here from all over the country. The academy’s meeting brought together scientists, academics and scholars from leading institutions, facilitating the exchange of ideas through lectures, interactive discussions and thought-provoking symposiums on topics such as vaccine development, sustainability, astrophysics, AI-driven science, climate studies and evolutionary ecology.

IISER Tirupati also ran parallel programs for school students in the district, thereby connecting young minds with hands-on science interactions and motivational sessions aimed at inspiring future generations.

IISER Registrar Inderpreet Singh Kohli, speaking on behalf of Director Santanu Bhattacharya, thanked IAS Chairman Raghavan Varadarajan and others for giving the opportunity to host such a prestigious event. “Even as the CII Investment Summit was ongoing in Andhra Pradesh, we hosted the country’s premier scientific event, marking a powerful combination of science, industry and innovation in the state,” Mr. Kohli said.
