Meghan Markle is facing criticism for the latest drop of her “As Ever” collection.

On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex shared a video of herself Instagram, placing a gift inside a beige and brown stocking amidst neutral-toned Christmas decor.

“Oh, we see you! It’s not even Thanksgiving yet and you already put this in your bag,” Markle captioned the post, in which she wore an olive-colored dress.

The muted aesthetic sparked debate online, with some social media users pointing out the irony.

Many pointed out Markle’s past comments that, as a working member of the royal family, she had to wear neutral tones as a way to blend in.

In Netflix’s 2022 series “Meghan & Harry,” Markle explained the reasoning behind her wardrobe choices.

“Most of the time I was in the UK I rarely wore colour.” he said in the series. “My understanding is that you can never wear the same color as Her Majesty if there is a group event, but then you should also not wear the same color as any other senior member of the family.”

“I wore a lot of muted tones, but also so I could blend in,” she continued. “I’m not trying to stand out here. There was no version of me [that was] I’m trying my best to join and fit into this family. “I don’t want to embarrass the family.”

The backlash comes weeks after Markle and Prince Harry suffered a shakeup in their team.

Emily Robinson, communications director for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has resigned just four months after taking on the role. people magazine reported.

“Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work on a very successful season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ and provided additional support to the production company,” a spokesperson from Archewell, which manages the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s offices, told Fox News Digital. “He did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”

The sudden departure has reignited scrutiny of the Sussex family’s Hollywood business empire; especially as Meghan, 44, tries to brand herself as an entrepreneur.

“This latest separation adds to ongoing instability and brand confusion across the pair’s mixed operations.” British royal expert Hilary Fordwich he told Fox News Digital.

“Evidence is mounting to support rumors that Meghan Markle is having trouble following the instructions of her advisors,” royal expert Kinsey Schofield of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered” told Fox News Digital.

“Former staff told me that he seemed open to advice, acted as if he would implement the advice as presented, and then did the exact opposite,” Schofield said. “Meghan blames the media and the public for misinterpreting or misunderstanding her. It’s an exhausting cycle and ultimately an unsustainable one for many who work with her.”
