Psychologist Mary Trump sees the same tell-tale signs the president’s father exhibited before he died in 1999.
Mary Trump didn’t hesitate when asked why she believed her uncle, President Donald Trump, was experiencing cognitive decline. In a searing interview on The Daily Beast Podcast, the daughter of Donald Trump’s late older brother, Fred Trump Jr., made the clearest claim she has ever made that the president is showing the same symptoms she saw in her father, Fred Trump Sr., who had Alzheimer’s for “a very, very long time.” The elder Trump was diagnosed with “mild senile dementia” in 1991. His doctor mentioned symptoms of “obvious memory loss in recent years” and “severe memory impairment.” He was later hospitalized with pneumonia and died on June 25, 1999, at the age of 93.
