Businesses ‘thriving’ after adopting four-day working week

A national pilot plan, which discovered a four -day working week, resulted in a 100 percent success rate, asking all participants to adopt shorter program permanently.

The six -month hearing, which started last November, contained 17 companies and approximately 1,000 workers and was organized by 4 days weeks Foundation.

All 17 companies are currently committed to continue the four -day week beyond the pilot.

A report on the initiative stressed that organizations could maintain their service levels and basic performance indicators during the trial period.

This showed that despite the decrease in working days, productivity did not suffer.

Most importantly, the pilot also provided significant benefits for working welfare. Almost two -thirds of the workers made a decrease when they experienced burnout, while two fifths found a improvement in their mental health.

“We are really pleased to see such a high success rate with more information, expertise and experience about what needs to successfully implement a four -day week.

“People are happier, businesses are developing and no return.

“We have proved this over and over again: for four days a week and now it should be implemented widerly throughout the economy.”

Alan Brunt, General Manager of Bron Afon Community Housing with 420 personnel who extended their pilots further, said: “As soon as they started talking about it, our teams met to start the bright work.

“We have followed our performance and customer satisfaction closely. We are pleased with the results so far and we will continue to be sure that we have delivered it for our customers.

“I expect most organizations to do this in the next 10 years.”
