According to the news in Indian Express, technical glitches prevented the teaser from being played at the promotional event of the upcoming movie ‘Varanasi’ held in Hyderabad. What did the police say?
“Yesterday, we received a complaint from Vanarasena alleging that filmmaker SS Rajamouli hurt Hindu sentiments by saying ‘I don’t believe in God Hanuman’ at the Varanasi film launch launch at Ramoji Film City. We have not registered a case so far,” a police official said. he said. The official added that as per the TOI report, police are currently investigating the matter. Thousands of fans attended the Globe Trotter event, including visitors from different countries. This meant the release of the teaser, the first appearance of actor Mahesh Babu and the unveiling of Varanasi’s title. The headliners of the event included Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra. In the film, Priyanka Chopra will play the role of Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran will play Kumbha.
