After facing backlash online, a complaint was filed by the Rashtriya Vanara Sena for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. The grand event was held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

What did Rajamouli say?

According to the news in Indian Express, technical glitches prevented the teaser from being played at the promotional event of the upcoming movie ‘Varanasi’ held in Hyderabad. “Yesterday, we received a complaint from Vanarasena alleging that filmmaker SS Rajamouli hurt Hindu sentiments by saying ‘I don’t believe in God Hanuman’ at the Varanasi film launch launch at Ramoji Film City. We have not registered a case so far,” a police official said. he said. The official added that as per the TOI report, police are currently investigating the matter.
