Man fighting for life after being hit by car in Logan, Queensland

A pedestrian is fighting for his life after being hit by a car south of Brisbane.
Police said the man was hit by a white Colorado double cab at the junction of Bourke St and Chambers Flat Rd, Waterford West, at around 8.20pm on Thursday.
The pedestrian, a 29-year-old man from Loganlea, was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Police allege the driver of the car, a 25-year-old from Redland Bay, initially fled the scene.
However, he later returned to the scene of the accident and assisted police in the investigation.
“Officers are urging anyone with information or relevant footage to contact police,” a police statement said.
