Rain, rain and more rain to make for chilly Thanksgiving in Nashville

Rain, rain, no, it’s not going away.

Rain will continue in Nashville and Middle Tennessee through the morning of November 22, with a slight risk of severe storms.

“The severe risk is very low, but not zero, as storms continue tonight,” the National Weather Service in Nashville said. He said it in X. “Yes, more rain today and a storm tonight. If you go to bed early, make sure your phone is on and off just in case.”

Middle Tennessee is at marginal risk on a scale of five, with the threat of wind gusts exceeding 60 mph, small hail and a very low chance of tornadoes.

And it doesn’t end there. It will probably be delayed for a short time, but rain will return on November 24 and 25. This will be followed by a major cold front just in time for Thanksgiving.

The weather service doesn’t believe Thanksgiving will be a record-breaking cold day, but it’s sure to be colder than average.

24 November: Mostly cloudy, with a high around 68 and showers overnight, with a low around 55. Chance of rain is 80%.

25 November: Chance of precipitation is 80%, mostly before noon, with highs around 68 degrees. The showers continue until the evening hours, with the lowest temperature around 46.

26 November: Chance of showers is 20%, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 56. The overnight low temperature is 31 degrees just below freezing.

Thanksgiving, November 27: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48 and a low still near freezing.
