Toll-Free Number for Reporting Adverse Drug Reactions

As part of the nationwide initiative to strengthen patient safety, the Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI) has made display of designated QR code and toll-free number mandatory to enable citizens to report adverse drug reactions (ADRs).

The Drug Control Administration-Telangana on Saturday directed retail medical stores, pharmacies and wholesale dealers to implement the measure.

A press release issued by the TG Disbursement and Enforcement manager said that anyone who experiences or suspects any adverse event after taking the medicine should report it to him via the PvPI QR code displayed at medical stores or the PvPI toll-free number 1800 180 3024.
