MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas on Saturday alleged that YSRCP leaders misled the public on Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) issues and ‘ignored that the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government had not taken any concrete steps to stop the privatization of the plant’.
Addressing the media here, he said that the Union government had announced a package of ₹11,400 crore on the initiative of the Chandrababu Naidu government.
He said VSP was in financial crisis for many reasons, including the lack of its own mines. “YSRCP is resorting to creating trouble as it cannot digest the success of the CII Summit held recently in Visakhapatnam,” the minister said.
He exuded confidence that many IT companies will come up in North Andhra regions. Mr. Srinivas hoped that around 20 lakh jobs would be created if all the investment proposals were implemented.
