Proposed R360 series delays launch until 2028

Proposed global rugby series R360, aimed at the game’s top stars, has delayed its launch date by two years to 2028, raising doubts over the viability of the project.
“The decision to move our launch to 2028 is a strategic decision based on timing,” said R360 board member and former England center Mike Tindall.
“Launching under compressed timelines will not meet the standards we have set for the R360 nor will it deliver the long-term commercial impact the sport deserves.”
The British and Irish Lions, as well as the eight leading Test nations, have banned R360 recruits from combining the new venture with their international careers.
