Injured Melbourne Storm NRL star Eli Katoa shares confronting images after brain surgery
Katoa thanked people for their messages and prayers and the Storm club for their support.
“A special thank you to Storm for all the help and support you continue to provide, I appreciate it,” he wrote.
Katoa made particular mention of the Tonga squad for their handling of the pre-match collision with teammate Lehi Hopoate, who was also featured in the TV broadcast.
Melbourne will receive salary cap relief to replace Katoa next season, with former Knights enforcer Jack Hetherington linked with the club.
“Thank you to my entire family for the love and support,” Katoa wrote.
