Guglielmo Vicario booers ‘can’t be true Tottenham fans’ – Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur fans who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were later told by boss Thomas Frank that “they cannot be real Tottenham fans”.
Spurs were beaten twice in the first six minutes, losing 2–1 to Fulham; this was the 10th home defeat in the Premier League of 2025.
However, the real talking point was Fulham’s second goal, when Vicario lost the ball outside the penalty area.
He came out to tackle a long ball and took it towards the touchline.
However, instead of putting the ball out of play, the Italian turned and tried to clear the ball, but the ball skidded past Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King.
King passed the ball to Wales midfielder WIlson, who fired a shot into the goal from the 36.6-metre touchline.
When the ball came back to Vicario a few minutes later, some Spurs fans booed him.
The team was booed at half-time when they were 2-0 down, and after a slightly improved performance they were booed again at full-time.
One of those boo sessions really pissed Frank off.
Describing the fans’ reaction to his goalkeeper to BBC Sport, the Danish player said: “I heard some of our fans booing the incident and booing afterwards, which is completely unacceptable in my opinion.”
“[They] It can’t be real Tottenham fans doing this. “We got booed enough after the game, which is fine, but we support each other when we play, we have each other’s backs going forward.”
Kenny Tete gave Fulham a fourth-minute lead before Wilson struck and Mohammed Kudus produced a better performance in the second half to score for Spurs.
