Challenger Rachel Reeves says she will be Chancellor for years to come and is “determined to defy critics” following her controversial Budget.

The Chancellor denied lying about the size of the Budget black hole to justify a £26 billion tax increase when he appeared alongside Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday (November 30).

Kuenssberg asked the Chancellor: “You said you would be here this year, next year, the year after that, and the year after that. Are you sure?”

Reeves replied: “Yes, I am sure and determined.”
