Kerry Godliman backs SafeCall campaign: ‘We can’t afford to wait’ | News

Actor and comedian Kerry Godliman is the latest celebrity to show his support. Independent’s The SafeCall campaign says it will “save lives for years to come”.

After Life The Star has urged the public to donate to the appeal as efforts to establish a free 24-hour service gain momentum.

Alongside the charity Missing People, the publication aims to raise £165,000 to fund a service designed by young people for young people, to help reach the 70,000 children who go missing in the UK every year.

Godliman said: “This is more than a helpline, it’s a promise, a promise that no child or young person goes out of danger alone, it’s a promise that there will always be someone there to listen, to help them and to guide them to safety.”
