The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) kicked off the holiday season on Monday with what it calls a “vacation deal for life” that offers illegal immigrants a tempting incentive to self-deport.

Participants may also be eligible to have any fines or penalties incurred for failure to leave forgiven, keeping the door open for potential legal return to the United States.
The holiday offer is available through the CBP Home App, the department said.
“The CBP Home App is offering those in this country illegally a wonderful gift this holiday season: a free flight home, a $1,000 bonus, and the opportunity to legally return to the United States,” Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. he said.

DHS noted that 2 million illegal immigrants have already self-deported under the Trump administration, calling the new program “the best gift an illegal immigrant could give himself and his family.”
“Your choice is simple: Choose to self-deport and reap the rewards, or stay here and continue to break our laws, which will lead to your arrest and deportation,” McLaughlin added. “Make the right choice for you and your family this Christmas and join the 2 million illegal aliens who have already left the country: Download the CBP Home App today.”

McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that when the process is executed efficiently, an immigrant can get a free flight home in just over a week. He called on deportees to provide accurate information so that they can receive their salaries as soon as possible.
“An individual can be on the road within 10 days if all of their information in the CBP Home app is correct, responds to outreach initiatives, and agrees to have their ticket booked as soon as possible,” McLaughlin said in a statement. he said. “However, their travel and salary may be delayed due to various factors such as incomplete or inaccurate data, ineligibility, or not having a valid travel document to return home. The exit bonus will be provided after confirmation through the app that the return is complete.”
