Putin sends chilling WW3 threat to UK before peace talks | World | News

Vladimir Putin has issued a chilling warning to Europe, saying Russia is “ready to fight now”. The President of Russia attended the ‘Russia Call!’ event organized by VTB Bank on December 2. He made threats by attending the investment forum titled.
He said, as reported by Interfax: “We are not going to fight with Europe, but if Europe wants to fight us, we are ready right now.”
The Russian president met with Steve Witkoff, one of Trump’s special envoys, in Moscow at 14:00 GMT today to discuss the revised version of America’s massive 28-point peace plan.
The plan was heavily revised after several meetings with Ukrainian officials, who argued that Trump’s plan was weighted too heavily in Moscow’s favor.
In addition to Witkoff, Trump also assigned his son-in-law Jared Kushner to broker a peace deal that crosses the border. Kushner had previously been involved in the negotiations for the Gaza peace agreement and had met with many Ukrainian officials before today’s meeting.
The Kremlin announced that no other US officials will attend today’s meeting with Putin.
But minutes before the planned big meeting, Moscow attacked Ukraine’s European allies, including one of its biggest military backers in Britain.
Putin’s threat of conflict with Europe stems from concerns among many European leaders that Trump could force Kiev to accept many of Moscow’s terms.
“Russia allows the Europeans to return to negotiations if they take into account the facts on the ground,” Putin said, according to Interfax.
He added that the stance of European leaders is “absolutely unacceptable”, claiming the likes of Starmer and Macron are on “The side of war”.
Their views on Europe were also voiced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to TRT World, Peskov told the press: “We do not communicate with the Europeans. We have no dialogue, we do not have a single word. If you do not communicate with each other, how can you determine the attitude of your colleagues on such a complex issue? This is our biggest problem.”
European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius called for European unity after Putin’s hostility.
Speaking to Euronews earlier today, the Lithuanian added: “Maybe we need to overcome some of our mental problems that we usually wait for when some plans come from Washington.
“It would be great for us to have our own plan and then you know compare it to others. [the] America plans to see what is good, what we want to discuss.
“I think we’re moving in that direction. There’s this approach coming that really requires us to be more independent both in our defense capabilities and in our geopolitical posture.”
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy was in Paris to rally European support for Kiev in a meeting with Emmanul Macron.
The French President emphasized that the process can only move forward with Europeans “around the table”. He added: “Our role is not to lecture Ukraine, the fight against corruption is on, because there are clear decisions.”
