Man murders brother for insurance money, lands behind bars with his two accomplices

A man who allegedly killed his brother and tried to pass it off as a road accident death in Ramadugu of Karimnagar district, along with two accomplices for fraudulently claiming insurance money, ended up behind bars.

According to the police, the main accused, 30-year-old Mamidi Naresh, allegedly killed his own 37-year-old brother Venkatesh after purchasing insurance policies worth lakhs of rupees of different companies in the name of his 37-year-old brother Venkatesh in Ramadugu three days ago.

He allegedly conspired to claim the insurance amount and settle his debts.

He allegedly carried out the murder in collaboration with his friend Rakesh, 28, and dumper truck driver Pradeep, 29, and tried to portray it as a case of road accident.

Further investigation by local police into the incident revealed the murder conspiracy and led to the arrest of the trio on Tuesday.
