Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed On July 21

Haydarabad: The state government declared a holiday for all educational institutions, including schools and colleges on July 21 due to Bonalu celebrations in twin cities.

After the completion of the celebrations at the Historical Sri Ujjainini Temple in Secunderabad on July 13 and 14, Bonalu will be celebrated in all the temples of all goddesses in the twin cities in July 20 (Sunday) and 21 (Monday), which pointed to the outcome of the festival.

The temples of the goddess Sri Mehankali, Maisamma, Nalla Pocamma, Muthyalamma and Peddamma in Secunderabad and Haydarabad were folded in connection with the celebrations that began on June 26 by presenting the first bonam to the goddess Sri Jagadamba Temple Atop Fort.
