Jessica Alba reflects on ‘awful’ ‘Fantastic Four’ nude scene at film festival

Jessica Alba reflects on one of the most difficult scenes she’s had to film in her career.
The 44-year-old “Sin City” star, who appeared at the Red Sea Film Festival on Dec. 5, talked about her role in the 2005 superhero movie “Fantastic Four” and why appearing naked in one of the scenes was something she was “scared of.”
“I thought it was so bad,” he said New York Post. “It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up in a pretty conservative family and I’m a pretty modest person. I was scared of that scene for weeks. I got a lot of whiplash from those days.”
In the scene, her character, Sue Storm, appears naked in front of tons of audience members after trying to use her new invisibility powers to get past the police barrier, only to reappear halfway through undressing.

The film also stars Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Ioan Gruffudd as the other members of the Fantastic Four and the villain Dr. It starred the late Julian McMahon as Doom. Alba, the only female in the quartet, felt Sue was someone she “looked up to”, adding that although she was “very motherly and kind”, she was not easily liked.
“He had a great moral compass. No matter who you were, you could respect him,” he said. “A lot of times the women in these stories have to be saved by a man or a villain; that’s the problem with the story. That was then. It’s different now.”
Alba went on to reprise the character in the 2007 sequel “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” The character was later portrayed by Kate Mara in 2015 and Vanessa Kirby in 2025.
Not only did her role in the film solidify Alba’s status as a leading lady in Hollywood, it was also where she met her estranged husband and the father of her children, Cash Warren.

Warren and Alba married in May 2008 after meeting on the set of the 2005 film and have three children: Honor (17), Haven (14) and Hayes (7). The two were married for 16 years before announcing their separation in January 2025.
“I have been on a journey of self-actualization and transformation for years, both individually and in partnership with Cash,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am proud of how we have grown as a couple and in our marriage over the past 20 years, and it is now time for us to move into a new phase of growth and evolution as individuals.”
Since filing for divorce in February 2025, Alba has flooded her Instagram feed with bikini photos showing off her revenge body.

Recently, she posted a series of photos from her trip to Australia, which included a shot of her lying on the sand in a mixed-print bikini, her bronzed legs and flat stomach with waves crashing in the background.

“Bikini Queen! Alba will always be crushed,” one fan wrote in the comments section, while another added: “The most beautiful woman who ever lived.”
