Czech Republic Recovering From Blackout After Grid Issue

(Bloomberg) – The Czech Republic is gradually healing from widespread power outages that stop public transport and enterprises in various parts of the country after a mistake in the transmission grid.

CTK News Service, underground trains and some tram lines in Prague, the middle and northern regions of the Northern regions continued to serve after Friday morning without electricity. Electrical distributor Pre Group said he expects the city’s affected areas to re -connect the materials at 16:00 local time.

Following a voltage problem at Spain’s Power Network in April, the second largest deduction in Europe, which caused more than 50 million people on the Iberian Peninsula. CTK said the grille operator did not know what caused the incident. Police wrote that there was no indication in X that a terrorist or cyber attack was behind the darkening.

Czech outage, referring to the national network operator Ceps, reported that the country has occurred in 8 of the 44 main transformer centers. Transformer centers include equipment that connects the high -voltage transmission grill to the distribution grid, thus carrying power to homes and businesses.

According to CTK, Prague’s airport was not affected and most of them were not the banking system or mobile phone networks.
