Police do not consider the incident to be related to terrorism
The Metropolitan Police said police did not consider the tear gas incident to be terrorism-related.
In the statement, it was stated that the incident was believed to have resulted from a “violent argument” between groups who knew each other.
“We are not treating this incident as terrorism,” said Peter Stevens, the force’s commander.
“I understand the public’s concerns and want to thank their cooperation in the area this morning.”

Police are at the scene as the manhunt continues
There is still a police presence at Heathrow Airport as officers search for some suspects who fled the scene.
In a post on X, the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers are at the scene following this morning’s attack at Heathrow Airport.
“At this stage it is believed the incident involved a group of people who knew each other and police officers remain at the airport to continue investigations and ensure the safety of those in the area.”

Terminal 3 remains open
Police have confirmed Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 remained open after this morning’s incident.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that there is currently some disruption to traffic in the area, but Terminal 3 remains open.

Where did the attack take place?
This morning’s attack took place in the multi-storey car park at Heathrow Terminal 3.
Heathrow Airport is the UK’s largest airport and serves hundreds of destinations around the world.
Terminal 3 is used by Virgin Atlantic, Delta, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and many other major airlines. The multi-storey car park where the incident took place is located directly opposite the check-in area.

Many people were hospitalized
Many people who were attacked with pepper spray in the Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 car park this morning were taken to hospital.
The London Ambulance Service attended and transported the patients. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-threatening.

Everything we know leading up to the moment the manhunt was launched
After it was reported that many people were attacked with pepper spray at Heathrow Airport this morning, the police launched an operation to catch some suspects.
The Metropolitan Police said one man was arrested but police were looking for other suspects who fled the scene.
Everything we know so far:
• Police were called to the multi-storey car park at Heathrow Terminal 3 at 8.11am following reports of a “group of men” attacking people with pepper spray.
• The incident is believed to have resulted from an escalating argument between people who know each other
• A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is being held in police custody for questioning
• Many people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering
• Travel disruption continues following the temporary closure of main transport routes to the airport
• The incident is not considered to be terrorism-related
