Pakistan Plays Denial Card Again On Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed; Asks India To Give Proof | World News

Pakistan, which is generally called a safe shelter for terrorists, has once again tried to provide a safe harbor to the sought -after terrorists such as Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed. While Pakistan now claims that Azhar does not live in the country, Saeed is not a free man. ‘Blood will flow on the Indus River’ criticized Pakistani politician Bilawal Bhutto Zaidari, Al Jazeera made strange claims in his interview.
Bilawal Butto’s claim
Butto claimed that Pakistan’s Jaish-e-Mohammed chef Masood Azhar did not know the location. He said that if India gives Pakistan information about him, Islamabad would be happy to arrest Azhar. In particular, Bhutto is part of the ruling coalition in Pakistan.
Bhutto reacted to a question about a New York Times report claiming that Saeed was free, not only called the report as wrong, but also, “Hafiz Saeed is a free man. A man of Pakistani. Afghanistan.”
Who is Masood Azhar?
Masood Azhar continues to be one of the most famous figures in India’s sought -after terrorists list. The name is linked to some of the most destructive terrorist attacks faced by the country, including the 2001 Parliamentary attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 2016 Pathankot Air Base attack and the deadly Pulwama attack in 2019.
Azhar was a deep national trauma in 1999 after the IC-814’s IC-814 flight to Kandahar. India agreed to release it in exchange for the safe return of hostages on the plane. For years, India called Pakistan to take action and surrender Azhar with Lashkar-E-Taiba Chief Hafiz Saeed. Despite the concrete evidence of their existence and activities within their borders, Pakistan constantly rejected their participation by claiming ignorance.
