Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., briefly argued with “60 Minutes” host Lesley Stahl over what she claimed was “accusatory” behavior by the journalist.
Greene had her first sit-down conversation with Stahl since announcing her resignation from Congress last month. During the segment, Stahl and Greene mentioned that the Georgia lawmaker apologized for participating in “toxic policies.”
“I would like to humbly say that I apologize for participating in toxic policies,” Greene told CNN in November. “It’s very bad for our country and it’s been something that I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated, that we, I’m only responsible for myself and my own words and my actions, and I’m committed and I’ve been working hard on that lately to get the knives down on politics.”

“But you contributed to this,” Stahl asked Greene Sunday. “You. You, you were attacking and insulting people there.”
Greene pushed back, claiming Stahl had personally contributed to the toxic policy.
“You’re being accusatory like you just did,” Greene said.
Stahl responded, “I know you blame me, but I’m smiling.”
“You’re blaming me,” Greene said. “But we don’t need to blame each other.”
The two continued to go back and forth, with Greene insisting that Stahl must also acknowledge his own contribution to toxic policies.
“I don’t insult people,” Stahl said.

Greene had previously met with Stahl in April 2023. Meanwhile, the two had a heated argument over the congressman’s claim that Democrats were the “party of pedophiles.”

“They’re not pedophiles. Why did you say that?” Stahl shouted.
“Democrats, even President Joe Biden, support the sexualization of children and having them undergo transgender surgeries. What pedophiles do to children is sexualize children,” Greene said.
“Wow,” Stahl reacted.

Greene shocked the political landscape last month when she announced she would leave Congress on Jan. 5. Many believe his sudden departure was the result of his soured relationship with President Donald Trump.
