SC stays Madras HC’s decision to halt T.N. govt. recruitment process to fill 2,569 vacancies

On Friday, the court had the decision of a Supreme Court of Madras, which completely stopped a recruitment process in the Supreme Court, Tamil Nadu government, in the department of the municipal administration and the water supply department (MAWS).
On April 3, the temporary order of the Supreme Court stopped carrying a almost completed recruitment process.
Tamil Nadu government, justice Manoj Misra chaired by a bank before a bank, “the recruitment process was completed only with the letters of appointment to be given to the selected candidates … The process itself has seen the participation of 2.00.499 candidates,” he said.
The Supreme Court decision was based on the grounds that Tamil Nadu could not elect four candidates under the person studying at Tamil Medium (PSTM) quota. Senior lawyer P. Wilson and lawyer Purnima Krishna, who appeared for the state, ordered the Supreme Court to stay at eleven hours, but the problem brought to the agenda by four candidates is limited to the reservation of 20% reservation to candidates working in the Tamil environment. “When only four candidates approached the high court, the whole process, which includes 2569 empty positions, was the reason for ice cream?” Mr. Wilson asked.
The bench, which gives the notification, clarifies the “impact and operation of the April 3 accommodation order, and clarifies that the state should not make any final elections against four empty positions/tasks.
The state’s petition said that the notifications of the notifications represent 40% of the sanction tasks in the MAWS department. “The time of recruitment for so many empty positions has begun to appeal by four unsuccessful candidates who claimed the reservation allocated under the Tamil environment, but it does not cause heartburn among the chosen candidates, but also directly affects the administration of the state to present domestic animals”. Candidates argued that they have applied to the PSTM category for tasks under the ‘diploma standard technical’ category. “They were treated as PSTM because they could not produce a PSTM certificate for the course,” he said.
In addition, the state, Tamil’s diploma courses only 2022-2023 academic year has been introduced as a training tool, he said. Until 2022, there were no well -known textbooks for diploma courses in Tamil. Only in 2020, AICTE undertook the translation of engineering textbooks into 12 planned Indian language. The Tamil Nadu government has launched the translation of 21 standard engineering and technology books since only 2021-2022 academic years.
“In the light of the above, it is not surprising that the candidates who completed their diplomas before 2022 have received instructions in Tamil, saying that they could not get PSTM certificates,” he said.
