Trump gives economy speech in Pennsylvania amid affordability fear

President Donald Trump will make statements about the US economy as he tries to give a message of economic success to a country increasingly worried about the cost of living.

The speech at Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountain came as data emerged showing Americans are feeling pressured by higher prices, despite Trump’s insistence that he has all but beaten inflation.

The latest consumer confidence survey for November revealed that economic confidence fell to its lowest point in seven months.
