Asia-Pacific markets traded mostly higher on Wednesday as investors awaited inflation data from China and the Fed’s interest rate decision later in the day.

Investors are eagerly awaiting the Fed’s interest rate announcement, which will be closely watched in the US on Wednesday, the last of the year. Markets largely expect the Fed to reduce the overnight lending rate by another 0.25 percentage points, in line with the cuts made in September and October.
