BCCI’s Apex Council AGM To Discuss Kohli, Rohit Contracts, Women’s Domestic Pay

Mumbai: The revision of contracts of Indian superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, as well as women players in domestic cricket, will be discussed at the Annual General Meeting of the BCCI’s apex council to be held on December 22.
The 31st AGM of the apex council will be held online, where decisions on the contracts of Kohli and Rohit, both of whom retired from Tests and T20Is last year and now feature only in ODI cricket, will be held online.
In this regard, India’s Test and ODI skipper Shubman Gill can be placed in the A-plus category along with senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has been appointed vice-captain for the final Test assignment.
Among other issues, an overhaul of payments to referees and match referees will be discussed, as well as an update to the board’s digital capabilities.
This will be the first AGM of the apex council since the changes that took place among officials in the BCCI; In September, Mithun Manhas became the chairman of the board and Raghuram Bhatt was appointed as treasurer, while Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Singh Bhatia were appointed as secretary and joint secretary.
In the board’s last elections, Saurashtra Cricket Association president Jaydev Shah was also on the board as a councillor.
