Speaking at the Agenda AajTak summit, Jaiswal said: “It helps a lot to have Rohit and Virat in the Indian team. Just the things they discuss in the dressing room, you learn about the game. We get motivated by seeing them; the way they have been playing with such high intensity for so many years. We get motivated. They teach us like younger brothers. They tell us not to make the mistakes they have made, not just as cricketers but also as human beings.” said Jaiswal at the Agenda AajTak summit.
“Rohit bhai scolds us but loves us equally. If he scolds us, you know he is coming from a place of care,” he added.
This group of players, who along with Virat Kohli are the senior leaders of the Indian cricket team, have the responsibility of mentoring young talents. Their influence is evident in the pivotal roles they play as the top three batsmen in the India squad and Jaiswal admitted that their mentorship and encouragement was vital to his impressive century in Vizag.

Jaiswal is primarily seen as the reserve opener for the ODI team, slotting behind Rohit and newly appointed skipper Shubman Gill. However, with its first major success now achieved, it instills great confidence in India as it prepares for the upcoming challenges.
