VCE 2025: Honour Roll
The highest possible study score is 50, which 578 students achieved in at least one subject this year.
Forty students achieved a perfect score of two, four students achieved a perfect score of three and one student (from Ruyton Girls’ School) received a perfect score of four in the courses undertaken this year.
It’s not the first time some of this year’s 12th batch have had their names on the honor roll. If they had achieved 40+ points in any final year subject in year 10 or 11 they would have been included in that year’s list.
There are 2672 students who got 40+ points this year, at least one 40+ score last year, and another 27 students who got 40+ points in 2023.
The most popular courses typically have more than 1,000 high-achieving students.
3144 students scored 40 or higher in English. There were 2310 in General Mathematics, 1235 in Mathematical Methods, 1174 in Psychology and 1116 in Business Management.
There are also courses undertaken by a small number of students and for which only a score above 40 can be obtained. A student scored 40 or more in second language subjects such as Bengali, Polish, Russian and Swedish.
However, it should not be forgotten that not all students who score 40 or above will be able to enter the honor list. At the start of the year, around 10 per cent of those enrolled in VCE courses choose not to allow their information to be published.
