Meghan Markle and Harry’s new project revealed | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a new film project announced by their production company Archewell Productions. The couple will executive produce the new documentary ‘Cookie Queens’, which will go to the Sundance Film Festival in 2026.

The festival program states that the documentary follows “four determined girls who strive to become the best-selling ‘Cookie Queen’, running an $800 million business where childhood and ambition collide.”

“As a former Girl Scout, my mother’s troop leader, I have a personal interest in this film, and I’m proud that all of our conversations and collaboration led to Archewell Productions executive producing this incredibly fascinating documentary with this award-winning team,” Meghan Markle told Deadline.

Speaking about the new initiative, the Duchess of Sussex added: “When we first saw the early footage of this documentary, it was something we immediately wanted to get involved with.

“The creative perspective, the director’s sharp yet humane tone and tenor, and the behind-the-scenes look at such a nostalgic yet modern tradition of Girl Scout Cookie Season are simply irresistible.”

‘Cookie Queens’ will premiere in Sundance’s Family Matinee section, a special screening of independent films for all ages.

The festival has yet to announce a premiere date, and representatives have yet to say whether the Duke and Duchess will attend.

The Duke and Duchess’ production company, Archewell Productions, has joined forces with Beautiful Stories and AJNA Films for the project, in partnership with the Artemis Rising Foundation and Good Gravy Films.

It’s been a busy year for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they embark on new ventures. At the beginning of August, Netflix and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would continue to work with each other under a new ‘first look agreement’.

Earlier this month, Netflix released a holiday version of Meghan’s lifestyle series ‘With Love, Meghan’, in which Meghan invited many of her friends and famous people to appear on the show.

Meghan also launched her lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, renamed As Ever, earlier this year.
