Suspected drink-driver flees crash leaving behind injured passenger | News

The driver, suspected of being drunk, fled the scene of the accident, leaving a seriously injured passenger behind.

CCTV footage shared by Derbyshire Constabulary shows the moment a driver skidded through bushes before crashing his car into a tree on Sunday, December 7.

The 28-year-old driver then abandoned the vehicle and his passenger, who required hospital treatment.

He was later found and arrested, and when officers gave him a breathalyzer test, he was found to be almost twice the legal drink-drive limit. He has since been released on bail.
