Former Karnataka MLA, Dr Anjali Nimbalkar, Heroically Saves US Passenger’s Life Mid-Air
Dr., a former Karnataka MLA and current AICC secretary. Anjali Nimbalkar was widely praised, including by Prime Minister Siddaramaiah, for heroically saving the life of a 34-year-old American woman who suffered a critical mid-air medical emergency on a Goa-New Delhi flight.
Shortly after takeoff, the passenger experienced severe chest pain, severe tremors, and restlessness, causing him to faint and completely lose his pulse. He quickly assessed the situation, directed the cabin crew and performed CPR, continuously monitoring the woman’s vital signs for approximately 1.5 hours. His sudden movements stabilized the patient sufficiently for a safe landing. Paramedics and ambulance were present at the Delhi airport to take the woman to hospital, where she was reported to have recovered.
