Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., suggested there is currently not enough reason to impeach President Donald Trump for a third time.
During an interview with USA Today’s Susan Page In the report released on Saturday, Pelosi was asked whether she should consider impeaching Trump again if the Democratic Party takes back the House of Representatives in 2026.
“The person most responsible for impeaching President Trump when I was speaker was President Trump,” Pelosi began. “He left us no choice. He crossed the line in his phone call with President Zelenskyy as a demonstration of his disrespect for the Constitution, endangering the sanctity of our own elections in our country, and others.”

He continued, “And of course, January 6th. He can try to change the narrative all he wants, but we will be there to make sure the public knows the truth about January 6th. This was an insurrection incited by the President of the United States.”
Pelosi continued to criticize the Trump administration until Page asked if she could clarify whether she believed impeachment should be part of the party agenda.
“If he crosses the border again,” Pelosi replied. “But this is not a coincidental thing. You say ‘We will do this’. No, there must be a reason. There must be a reason. We had an investigation. This was a very serious, historical event.”
PELOSI ANNOUNCED THAT HIM AND BIDEN ARE STILL NOT TALKING, AND DENIES THE CLAIM THAT SHE TOLD HIM TO LEAVE.
He continued, “And our founders knew there could be a rogue president, and that’s why they put impeachment in the Constitution. They didn’t know there would also be a rogue president, and there would be a rogue Senate that didn’t have the courage to do the right thing. There was bipartisanship in the Senate, but that wasn’t enough.”

Last year, Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, filed several articles of impeachment against Trump during his second term. Most recently, Green moved to get votes on two articles of impeachment in a privileged resolution on Wednesday night; This was a mechanism that allowed lawmakers to act on a bill within two legislative days.
