Lok Sabha adjourned sine die after passing SHANTI, G Ram G and Insurance bills

The Lok Sabha adjourned indefinitely on Friday, drawing the curtain on a winter session in which sustained debates rather than repeated adjournments and strikes have shaped parliamentary business and allowed the government to push through a range of high-impact legislation, including bills that open insurance and nuclear energy to greater private and foreign participation, overhaul rural employment and approve new fiscal and taxation measures.(More to come)
