AmericaFest crowd backs ICE in hometowns as Democrats resist agents

AmericaFest attendees from Milwaukee to Maui told Fox News Digital they support DHS’s “mass deportation” effort and would welcome ICE operations in their hometowns.
Mother and daughter Karen and Christina, of Milwaukee, said they wholeheartedly support ICE’s operations, especially near Chicago.
“We need to get illegals out because they are taking away all our services that should be given to people who really need them,” Karen said.

Looking south, they accused Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker of not welcoming federal aid and said Springfield was trying to pass “all these weird laws” to obstruct them.
“We need to clean up the city, it’s a complete dump,” added Christina, who went to college in Illinois.
Turning to their own governor, Democrat Tony Evers, who was recently scolded for refusing to allow the USDA to audit SNAP rolls, Karen said he had committed “gross negligence” and suggested that many Wisconsinites would support investigating whether illegal immigrants were on the rolls without Washington knowing.

He compared Evers to former President Joe Biden, who “slept in” throughout his term: “When he comes out after playing pickleball, he usually says a word or two and that’s it.”
Karen, R-Wis. He echoed Rep. Tom Tiffany’s warning that if Madison does not allow such audits, it could end up like neighboring Minnesota, where Gov. Tim Walz’s administration was dragged into the Somali social services scandal.

“I feel much safer. I feel like they’re trying to contain the situation, which is completely out of control and unsustainable,” he said.
Nick, from Nashville, told Fox News Digital he would support more immigration enforcement in Tennessee; because ICE had already targeted Memphis, a few hours west on I-40.
“The mayor of Nashville is really uncooperative and really trying not to follow what ICE and President Trump want to do,” he said of T. Freddie O’Connell, a Democrat who runs Davidson County and the city of Nashville.

“With that said, there are a lot more illegal immigrants. So I think ICE definitely needs to come to Nashville because the mayor is not trying to support what a lot of people around Nashville and Davidson County want,” Nick said.
Traveling from Hawaii to Phoenix, Chloe said she would welcome enforcement of immigration enforcement at America’s South Pacific outpost.
“We don’t need illegal immigrants here taking our jobs and making our country unsafe. [immigration] “Do it legally and make sure we protect our own country and our own people,” he said.

Amy, from Michigan, said she would support ICE in her hometown and, like participants from Wisconsin, criticized Chicago for refusing to cooperate with federal enforcement operations.
“As long as they do their job right, I support them 100%,” he said.
Elizabeth, from San Diego, said she supports the ICE operations that occurred in her state earlier this year.
“One hundred percent,” he joked.
Reached for his comment in response to criticism, a spokesperson for O’Connell said immigration enforcement is a federal matter and that “Metro Nashville upholds the law and works with state and federal law enforcement, as we always do, to detain dangerous criminals and keep our community safe.” he said.
