£80k of ‘stolen’ power tools seized at London car boot sale | News

Eighty thousand pounds worth of suspected stolen electrical equipment was seized by police at a car boot sale in Hounslow, west London.
Nearly 400 items were seized in an operation carried out by the Metropolitan Police on 11 December, during which two men and two teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of dealing in stolen goods.
Last month Robert Jenrick visited the site, which police described as a “carnival of crime” with “nowhere to be seen”.
Police said the “proactive operation” was being carried out “in response to concerns about tool theft” and said efforts were being made to identify the tools and trace them back to their original owners.
