Barnaby Joyce attends anti-immigration rally despite warnings from Albanese and NSW police

Former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce attended an anti-immigration rally in Sydney’s Prince Albert Park and told the crowd that Anthony Albanese was unfit to lead the country.
Mr Joyce, who has given up on national competition and defected to One Nation, addressed nearly two hundred people gathered for the Put Australia First rally.
“You should be allowed to go to the beach on Sunday without getting killed,” Mr Joyce said.
“(My wife) was crying because people were being killed, because children were being killed, because old people were being killed, because our nation was tainted with filth.”
He went on to criticize Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s handling of the anti-Semitic Bondi terror attack which claimed 15 lives, insisting he should be removed from office. “Fire him out,” the crowd shouted.
Earlier on Sunday, My Joyce told the media that Australians wanted to “make things easier”.
“We’re Australians. We’re easy going. We want to make things easy and that’s been taken away from us,” he said.
NSW police have issued warnings throughout the week against various public demonstrations following the terror attack.
On Sunday, both police and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese urged Australians not to attend anti-immigration demonstrations planned for Melbourne and Sydney.
NSW Premier Chris Minns said these rallies would only disrupt the public’s recovery process.
“I don’t think it can happen if we have mass, massive protests in the heart of the city, which, in my opinion, will tear apart the scar tissue that has healed in just seven days,” he told the ABC.
