Scooterist Injured After Hitting Bus in Kukatpally

Hyderabad: A man suffered fractures after his electric scooter crashed into a bus stopped near Kukatpally Metro Station in the early hours of Sunday.

According to the complaint filed by Bandaru Venkatesh, the incident took place around 2.30 am when his friend V. Manoj was heading towards JNTU from Y-Junction. A private transport bus stopped on the road without any precautions and Manoj hit it from behind.
His left leg was broken and he was transferred to Gandhi Hospital. The police filed a lawsuit against the bus driver for negligence.
3 people caught while gambling

Hyderabad: Three men were arrested for gambling in Kaithalapur near Kukatpally on Saturday evening. Kukatpally sub-inspector Tukaram and his team, after receiving information, raided the spot and caught the trio. It was stated that the defendants were Muhammad Javid, Muhammad Salimya and Sheikh Sharfuddin. Police seized ₹19,800 in cash, a set of playing cards and three mobile phones from their possession.

Machines Stolen from Closed Unit

Hyderabad: Jeedimetla police said on Sunday that a theft of machinery was reported at a knife manufacturing unit that has been closed for several years. The complaint was made by a security chief on Friday after a security guard noticed the machines missing.

Police said they were awaiting details from the depository about the value of the stolen equipment. Jeedimetla inspector G. Mallesh said no company representative came forward to give information.

The factory was seized two to three years ago after its owner failed to pay workers’ salaries and accumulated heavy debts. “Only after the custodian presents the records will it become clear what exactly was stolen and the extent of the loss. We are not ruling out any suspicions, including from one of the staff,” the inspector said.

Painter Found Dead

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old painter, who had been missing for three days from his home in Balajinagar, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Jawaharnagar police suspect suicide due to financial and moral stress.

The deceased was identified as KS Sanjay Kumar, who is survived by his wife, Vijayalakshmi, and their seven-year-old son.

According to Vijayalakshmi’s complaint, the couple had an argument over house rent on December 17. The next day around 5 am, Sanjay told his wife that he went out to buy milk, left his phone at home and did not return. Because he had disappeared and returned before, the family assumed he would return.

On Sunday, Jawaharnagar police informed the family that Sanjay Kumar had died by suicide in Vikalaangula Colony. His wife identified the body from the photo shown by the police.

Investigators suspect financial problems or stress may have pushed him to take the extreme step. The case is being investigated.

Biker Died in Road Accident

Hyderabad: A 38-year-old employee of a private firm died after a truck crashed into his two-wheeler at Shadnagar junction on Sunday afternoon. Police said the victim, Jagan, a resident of Shabad, was returning home when the accident occurred at 3 pm.

Local people informed the police, who took Jagan’s body to the morgue. Ramu, the truck driver from Andhra Pradesh, waited at the spot and the police took him into custody.

Police arrested Ramu on the complaint of Jagan’s wife Lavanya. Police reported that security cameras were being examined to determine the cause of the accident. They confirmed that neither the cyclist nor the truck driver was under the influence of alcohol.
