Delhi Panchayat Sangh has requested the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to address the issue of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) inviting applications for 280 posts in various categories where the Gurugram University option (established in 2019) is not available on the CBSE’s online application website. Therefore, candidates who have graduated from Gurugram University and meet the requirements cannot complete the application process. The Sangh demanded immediate remedial action.

All colleges affiliated to Gurugram University were under Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak before 2019. The Haryana government had established Gurugram University in 2019 and brought all colleges in the region under its jurisdiction.

Panchayat Sangh chief Than Singh Yadav said that many students from rural Delhi were studying in Gurugram University. Therefore, he said, the lack of college options leads to career-related problems for these students.

Mr. Yadav said, “This situation is not only an injustice to eligible candidates, but also a violation of the right to equality of opportunity guaranteed by the Constitution. The exclusion of a well-known state university from the application list reflects serious negligence.”

The Sangh demanded that the Gurugram University option be immediately added to the CBSE recruitment application website, additional time (Reopening of Application Window) be given to candidates who were unable to apply due to this technical issue, and an updated list of all recognized universities in the country be provided for all future recruitments. The Sangh said the responsibility of the officials responsible for this surveillance should be determined.

Panchayat Sangh chief Than Singh Yadav urged the CBSE management and the Education Ministry to immediately resolve this serious issue so that eligible people studying in Gurugram University are not deprived of their future.
