When the world is done

When the world is done
There will be no more bluebirds
The parched cliffs of Dover,
When heat waves scorch the earth below.
There will be no fish left to fry,
And there is no crops to tie,
Tomorrow, when the world is done.
There was writing on the wall
But greed overcame everything
Oligarchs ruled the field
Now what is lost is lost for everyone!
There will be no ringing laughter,
No happy voices singing,
No children playing in the sun.
There will be no more shaking trees
Cool breezes do not blow,
Tomorrow, when the world is done.
Billionaires did what they wanted
They built shelters so they could stay
And watch as we all rot,
But their time will come one day!
We watch our children grow
When fear is overflowing,
Their future fate looks bleak,
The world is warming rapidly,
Lies fall fast and thick,
When the truth dies
Then the world is done!
