Russian general killed in explosion in Moscow, officials say

Investigative Committee of RussiaAuthorities said a Russian general died in an explosion in Moscow.
Russia’s Investigative Committee said Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov died when an explosive placed under a car detonated on Monday morning.
The committee added that Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces’ operational training department.
It was stated that one of the theories being investigated was the involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. Ukraine did not comment.
It was reported that investigators were sent to the scene in the south of the Russian capital.
Russian media reported that the explosion occurred in a parking lot near an apartment building.
