Dhurandhar Choreographer Reveals Tamannaah Bhatia Was Considered for Shararat Song

Dhurandhar has remained in the limelight ever since its release, with its outstanding performance proving the appreciation it received at the box office. Apart from the intriguing plot, another much-discussed feature of this film is the energetic song Shararat starring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza.
However, choreographer Vijay Ganguly has now revealed an interesting information about this track. In a recent chat with Filmygyan, Vijay revealed that the initial plan was to cast Tamannaah Bhatia in Shararat but this was later rejected by director Aditya Dhar, who wanted to keep the balance intact in the film.
As Vijay said: Aditya was very clear that he didn’t want an “item song” that felt disconnected from the story. He believed that the inclusion of the lone star actor could take the audience’s focus away from the story. As he narrates: “If there was only one girl, the focus would shift from the story. That’s why there are two girls, not one. If it were Tamannaah, the focus would shift from the story to her.”
He also said, “The truth is, there’s a lot going on in this movie, and putting a standalone song in it would ruin the momentum.” For him, the vision was to not just allow a song to be a visual backdrop, but to be a part of that story in a way that complements it.
