Indian cricket team leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shared a heartwarming moment on social media after purchasing a new BMW car ahead of the IPL 2026 season. The cricketer said his parents were present to witness the milestone and described their presence as “real luxury”.

Chahal, who has been retained by Punjab Kings for IPL 2026, has not represented team India since 2023. In a post about X, she wrote: “I brought my new car home with two people who make every dream possible. Watching my family witness and enjoy this milestone is a true luxury.”

According to reports, Chahal bought a BMW Z4 M40i. The on-road cost of the luxury sports car is estimated to be around Rs 1 crore. The acquisition is seen as a personal milestone for the spinner, who has been in the news for his performances in domestic cricket and IPL.
Chahal’s post about his BMW attracted attention not only for his car but also for his emotional message about his parents. Fans praised it for highlighting the importance of family in a cricketer’s journey, with many calling it a “touching gesture” and “heartwarming”.

Health decline before SMAT final

Earlier, Chahal had revealed that he was diagnosed with dengue fever and chikungunya, which forced him to miss the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final between Haryana and Jharkhand.


Ahead of the match, he wished luck to his team and tweeted: “I wish my team Haryana the best for the SMAT finals. I wanted to be a part of the team but unfortunately I am fed up with dengue fever and chikungunya which are really taking a toll on my health. Doctors have asked me to just focus on rest and recovery. I will be back on the field soon and bowling with all my strength.”

With Chahal sidelined, Haryana struggled in the final and eventually lost by 69 runs. jharkhandLed by Ishan Kishan, who hit a stunning 49-ball 101 with sixteen sixes, he led his team to their first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title.
