Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS alliance to be announced on Dec. 24, says Sanjay Raut

Party leader Sanjay Raut said that Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray will make an official statement regarding their alliance at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

The decision came days after speculation that they would come together for the upcoming municipal elections. There have been many meetings between the two parties for days.

Seat-sharing talks took time as both the cousins ​​shared the same sphere of influence and vote bank, especially in Mumbai. It was stated that seat differences in Sewri, Mahim and Bhandup have been resolved.

For both the Thackeray families, this election will be a battle for existence, especially after the dismal performance in the first two phases of the local body elections.

The important Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections will be held on January 15, 2026 and counting of votes will be done on January 16, 2026.
