Infini bulks up Canadian uranium ground with savvy land grab

Under the terms of the deal, Infini’s Canadian subsidiary will receive full ownership of the new land from the seller in exchange for A$50,000 in cash, A$350,000 in shares and a 2 percent net smelter royalty on future production.

Infini Resources CEO Rohan Bone said: “Portland Creek is rapidly taking shape as a potential district-scale uranium system, and securing this ground is a strategic step to capitalize on Infini’s first mover advantage. The newly secured licenses are located directly along the structural corridor where we are actively drilling and carry radiometric and geological signatures that are highly consistent with our existing ground.”

The Portland Creek project is located within Newfoundland’s Precambrian Long Range complex; The complex is a mining-friendly area near the historic Daniel’s Harbor zinc mine, which has mass produced millions of tons of polymetallic ore for two decades since the 1970s.

Infini’s latest work confirmed a six-kilometer anomalous zone of uranium and radon in sediments, soil and aerial surveys associated with the prominent fault scarp in Portland Creek. The company says the geological environment is well suited to uranium enrichment along fault zones.

With the completion of phase two drilling analyzes and aerial geophysical studies in the coming weeks, Infini plans to combine data sets to identify new targets ahead of an accelerated drilling offensive in 2026.

Uranium prices remain stable in 2025; It has recently been trading around US$80 (AU$120) per pound as supply remains limited and major producers limit production and new reactors come online around the world.

In this environment of tightening supply and rising long-term needs, Infini’s timely expansion in Portland Creek sharpens its foothold in the safe havens of North America.

For uranium explorers, locking down adjacent areas early is often crucial, and Infini’s hard work could pay off as it tightens its grip on Portland Creek and pursues what could become Canada’s next high-quality uranium region.
