Fergie’s heartbreaking comment about hoping Andrew ‘still loves me’ | Royal | News

Sarah Ferguson once made a heartbreaking comment about her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The former Duchess of York, who, like Andrew, lost her royal title due to her relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, once gave an interview about her life with the disgraced former royal.

In the 2024 interview Sunday Times, The incident, which came days before Andrew was revealed to be in a relationship with the alleged Chinese spy, opened up about her relationship with him. She said: “I know I’m doing well because Beatrice, Eugenie and my sister love me. I think Andrew too. I hope so.”

She explained how they met: “I first met Andrew when I was 12. My first thought was that I was going to marry him. When Diana invited me to Ascot in 1985, we re-entered each other’s lives and got engaged six months later.”

Sarah continued: “You weren’t allowed to hang out with each other or live together back then. Diana couldn’t, and neither could I. But they learned from us, and Sophie didn’t either.” [Duchess of Edinburgh] and Catherine [Princess of Wales] it could be. “They both recognized their son.”

She added: “I was completely in love with Andrew. I would do it all over again, 100%.”

“He is the best, a kind man with a wonderful heart. Our wedding was the best day of my life. But that day I gave up my anonymity. I was able to do this because love conquers all. It is still with us today.

“I will not disappoint him. He supports me as much as I support him. He has supported me not only in marriage or divorce, but in good times and bad. We agree on the three Cs: communication, compromise, compassion.”

According to sources, Sarah’s comments now appear to be a distant memory as she keeps contact with her ex-husband to a minimum and they are both counting down their final days at their home, Royal Lodge.

Andrew is expected to move out of the Windsor estate and head to Norfolk sometime in the new year; there he will seek refuge at one of the King’s private homes on the Sandringham Estate – widely reported to be Marsh Farm near the village of Wolferton.

Fergie’s next home is yet to be confirmed, but reports have suggested she could move to one of her daughters’ homes in Portugal or the Cotswolds.
